Update - took the advice, added cells and made the pores less obvious.
Some glossy, porous skin for use on mutants, aliens and monsters. My first substance and also my entry into the NVIDIA contest! Please excuse any noob errors while I tidy it up before the end. I'll be adding custom colours, the ability to change the amount of pores and some sort of wetness level for the skin.
Also, completely procedural! No images used.

@Steventkell I intended for that. It is a stylised type of material.
The lines for the circles are too sharp and there's no transition from them to the skin. They look out of place, especially on the sphere mesh.
My first substance looked a lot worse than this one. He still has plenty of time to refine/iterate on it. :)
@ Pawnswizard exactly ;) I actually made it in 2 hours just to give it a shot. I'll be updating soon.
You could try tiling the hexagon or something like that instead of the stitching. That stitch makes me want to think of it as fabric and not alien.
I think the issue here is that it's not entirely stylized, but something between realistic and toonish. It has this weird fabric-like texture that doesn't suit at all, and stylized style doesn't usually use realistic highlights and shadows.
Actually stylized textures are used with realistic lighting all the time in cg movies.
