The sbsar file works in painter, maya, and 3dsMax.
It is engine 4 and 5 compatible so i think it work with few other sbsar capables plugins/softs.
The $time variable make you able to batch outputs animation in Substance Player.
- Flowing - Automatic Speed or manual position.
- Flow distortion.
- Crust Wear.
- Crust "moon" effects.
- Crust Occlusion.
ps : was not tested on 2.xxx painter versions

It work fine in painter, but i still have a problem for the use in Maya or 3dsMax as Substance texture. i work to fix it soon.

I don't really remember cause i took information everywhere and made it by myself, testing.
You have the sbs file inside the zip, so you can see woh it works ;)
Can't seem to get it to work. Might just be me, but how do I get it to flow in SD?
If you want to see it animated, you have to launch the sbsar or publish the sbs in player. It will detect the "time" function and create a timeline.
So, like in 3dsMax, you go at end of timeline and change an exposed parameter, it will create a key.
If you want to render output animated, export it from player with animation you will do.

Hi, i'm new to substance painter but i'm getting along with it (slowly). I've downloaded you're awesome material but i can't get it to work correctly like every one else. I only get a black stain with normals. I've dragged and dropped all the .sbsar file, the .sbs are unknowm to substance painter. So if anyone could telle how they manage to make it work or if i made an obvious mistake that i don't see. I'll be immensly thankfull for any help :D

Has anyone tried these sbar files with the Substance Cinema 4D plugin? I can't seem to get these to render at a high rez. Even after upping the samples to 2048 within the plugin. Anyone run into this? I'm very new to using this so I'm sure it's something easy I'm overlooking. Thanks!

Ok, just found it out by myself: You need to add the Emissive channel in your project to make it work
Works perfectly on Unity but on Substance Painter 1.7.3 I can´t find a way to show lave, only rocks showing

Amazing shader. Seems to be crashing on painter 2.5 when emissive channel is enabled and calculated. Unsure if this is a bug in painter its self or something new its doing that this shader doesnt play well with .....

I textured a mesh using this material but I am unable to export an animated sequence out of Painter. I tried opening the material in the Player and matching the values of my Substance Painter material but I can't seem to find the Fill Properties such as UV Scale, UV Offset and UV Rotation. Please help!
Hello Nitin, unfortunately you cannot export an animated sequence out of Painter.
You can (like you tried) export an animation only via the player.
I didn't expose uv parameters cause this modifications can be done (and it is recommended) in the render engines or softwares.
If you need something else, say me.

Yes it is right, as said LorieAnnis, you have to creat/enable your emissive channel, it is not present by default :)

you need to load the sbsar in Substance Player, a timeline will appear automatically.
set a key on flowing parameter at beginning and put an other key at the end of your needed range with the flowing parameter changed.
ex : create a key at on timeline, go to 100 and move the flowing parameter, you 'll see that it will automatically create a new key with you last changed value and so on :)
cant seem to figure out how to make it move anyone have any suggestions on how to make that happen?
okay so how do i find the parameters?.... i figured out how to get it to show lava instead of just stone but cant seem to get it to move a inch.

Yes "Dark empire", you need to activate your emissive channel :)

you don't need to set keys, juste set a number in the "Main Flow Auto Speed" parameter.
Try 0.010 for exemple and play ;)

if auto flow doesn't work in 3dsMax, use the manual flowing. You can keyframe it, i made it for this ;)
